I bought this scale for espresso. Overall I like using it more than the $10 battery everyone recommends. It's nice that the surface is smooth, you can wipe them, they are not afraid of splashes (there are no buttons). The scale has some nice features like auto-timing, although unfortunately auto-tare would be more useful, but there isn't one. I have two complaints about the scale. First, it's not as accurate as the $10! Adding a coffee bean sometimes adds 0.3g of weight (impossible). If you remove and add the same grit again, you get a different weight! It also has a fairly significant delay in updating readings. Second, this scale is too big to fit on my Breville Barista Pro's tray. It works, but kinda clumsy. Maybe that's not a problem with larger machines.
