I don't think this material would make a good gutter protector but it worked great as the masonry board I had to make in my basement. There was a large gap between the poured concrete wall and the exterior brick, which allowed a lot of cold air and insects to enter my house. I cut a piece of material, slid it into the gap, and inserted the wet concrete into the mesh as a splint. Worked great. It's much more convenient to work with an extensible form and much less clutter.
