Netgear used to be my favorite provider. This product changed my mind. Upon arrival, the settings could not be saved when switched off. Fortunately, it can be saved with a hard reset. A wired connection to the router returned speeds of >30Mbps, while the wireless connection crept at speeds of 0.2-0.7Mbps with rare bursts of up to 2.3Mbps. After a night and day of wrestling with this thing, I finally found that I had turned off wmm (wireless multimedia) (not recommended by vendor) and the frame rate allowed the wireless internet speed to work as it should. ie 30 Mbit/s. Netgear tech support is completely useless - the email team is unable to read, understand, or in any way respond to the question asked, or any response to their lack of an answer that you could possibly provide ! To give them credit, the staff are very good at "cutting and pasting" from the manual, and it's fun trying to guess what keyword they used for their chosen answer - you might think it has something to do with yours question has to do, right? By the way, if you're buying something refurbished from Netgear, you're on your own - don't even try to get support from them!. no need to wonder why.
