Most inconsistencies are due to a lack of attention to detail. I cut out the AC box exactly as directed including two small notches and the door popped up and the latches snapped into place, not cutting the notches for the legs at the bottom of the door makes it difficult to access the door in the correct position these notches are marked notch by notch, you just have to look closely.
