Review on 🚪 Enhanced Yale Keowee Satin Nickel Lever - Passage by Shawn Trotter

This is ANSI Grade 3, a basic residential security lock that meets the lowest acceptable quality standards for locks, so my expectations were low when it crashed into my cabin door and the cabin was uninhabitable. .. except my chickens in part of it. I'd say it's a decent set of locks and since I can't disagree with the review I'll say it's better than some at this price point and an equivalent rating. As it wasn't intended for my home I settled on a used unit which was described as 'used - very good - minor blemish on top, front or sides of item'. The product is delivered in the original packaging. The packaging will be damaged,” and that wasn't entirely true. Apart from a plastic bag, there was no packaging, cosmetically in good condition, but a bar and instructions (including drilling template) were missing. I bought the input lever as a replacement and it doesn't have "Hidden Mounting Screws" and "Button Lock". The screws are visible and the latch must be turned to lock from the inside. Another minor point is that the key switch is brass, but mine is bronze and matches the rest of the fairing. It does not have an adjustable latch. So if you want a round latch type it won't fit and the latch needs to be countersunk...so get your chisel out. I didn't care what I got as long as it had the levers, latch and keys, but I didn't show a photo of what's in the box and the inside of the lever is pretty lame and I usually turn it down. only for one reason if I have something to fault at my front door. I've been installing locks, levers, deadbolts, deadbolts and everything for a lot longer than I care to remember as we used to buy, remodel and sell a home business every 2 years and always spent a lot on this type of security. strange to me considering how many windows I had in my houses. I would wish they would offer some resistance but not so much that a determined person would go for the window which would likely cost me a lot more and take a long time to replace. I gave 4 stars because there was some misinformation in the description, but otherwise I have no complaints about the product itself.
