Battery life is short

This is a great little fan that we bought for my son when we went to Aruba recently to keep him cool and comfortable in his stroller. We actually already have another one but it's in stock so we had to buy another one and it fits. It's easy to use and compact, but has a fairly powerful fan, so my son was kept cool and comfortable when we were outside. We have also used it on trips to the zoo etc and it works well. One downside I noticed is that the settings are a little hard to read, especially for my parents who are older and can't see well, especially without reading glasses. Therefore, to adjust it to the desired setting, it was usually necessary to remove the fan where it was attached, turn it on, and then reattach it. It's not a big deal, but if it's cut a certain way or you have a toddler who's sweaty and waiting for you, it becomes more of an issue. The holes in the pocket can also be a little smaller because my toddler can get his fingers in between them. We taught him not to touch so we didn't get hurt from him touching the blades, although another reviewer said her young daughter touched them and it wasn't a problem so I don't know but I want to that you don't have to worry about it as a mother. Another negative was that the battery life is not very long. We can have a full hour, maybe an hour and a half if it works continuously. Sounds like a lot, but then again, if you're not at home during the day, an hour isn't much. The charging mechanism is handy as you can just use USB to charge, although it would be nice to maybe have a backup battery so if USB charging runs out you can at least pop in a battery and it will work straight away. instead waiting for it to recharge. I honestly don't know how long a full charge lasts as we plugged in most of the time at night when we went to bed to prepare for the next day. I know it's been over an hour since bedtime when I noticed the charging light was still on after being plugged in for about that long. Can't really complain as it was a cheaper small fan and suited our needs. However, if you want something that lasts longer on a single charge, you'll probably need to spend a little more money.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
