Faulty yarn when knitting and crocheting

For some reason this yarn has been terrible lately, when used it breaks on the yarn, there are knots in the yarn. I have no idea what's going on with Simply Soft Caron. Vintage Red. terrible, terrible yarn lately. No matter what batch I've bought lately, the quality of this Revain yarn leaves a lot to be desired.
