Purchased for use with a landline answering machine without a headphone jack. Didn't work with adapters either. The person on the other end said I'm talking like I'm a million miles away. Use it with an iPhone instead for my 96 year old dad with total hearing loss in one ear. It completely bonded him to the family. Now he can FaceTime with his kids in California. Conversations that he would like to end in a few minutes now take an hour because he can hear well and is comfortable. We love it.
