Review on Vise Assembly for Hitachi C10FCE 🔧 and C10FCH Compound Miter Saws - Hitachi 322952 by David Pirlet

I have a Makita 18V miter saw (LXSL01, 7 1/2 inch saw blade). She came with a vise but I wanted another for the other side. Makita vises were outrageously expensive (50-$120) so I looked up the specs and took a chance. The mounting hole on the saw is 5/8" and the Hitachi vise shank is 1/2". I doused a short length of hose with hot water to soften it and slipped it over the Hitachi shaft and then carefully inserted it into the hole on the saw. It fits snugly and snugly and doesn't even need a set screw to hold it in place. I love my tools from Makita, but damn I'm not going to pay that much for a small vise for $13 I can take a chance
