Not perfect but works well - video shows installation in Subaru

My video shows how I installed this pet fence. The video cuts off a bit at the end, but you get the gist of the build: form a barrier and screw the poles in place, applying pressure to hold them in place. I actually bought and installed one of these 20 years ago and the design hasn't changed much - except that the connecting clips are now plastic instead of metal. I think that's a sign of the times. Adapts to most rear vehicles such as SUVs, station wagons or crossovers, although you may need to use zip ties and other small tweaks to make it work. Installed on my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Please note my only criticism of this divider is that it is never 100% secure at the top or bottom because it is only really pushed into the room with pressure, not fastened. So a smart dog could pull it out or push it out. Also, the threaded rods on the underside are more likely to leave dents in the trunk floor/floor. So maybe add something underneath for protection. But it keeps the dog in the back and it's easy. It's not perfect but I really like it!

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons
  • Requires outlet
