Review on OCPTY - Front Lower Control Arms For Mazda 3 And Mazda 5: 2-Piece Set With Ball Joints (2004-2009) by Jimmy Koroye

OCPTY Control Arms: A Comprehensive Review

I recently installed the 2-piece set of OCPTY front lower control arms on my 2008 Mazda 3. The installation process was relatively straightforward, and the product seems sturdy enough. However, I did encounter some issues that prevented me from giving it a higher rating. First of all, the ball joints included in the package were not pre-greased, which meant that I had to grease them myself. This was a bit of a hassle, and I would have appreciated if the manufacturer had taken care of this beforehand. Secondly, the bushings were a bit too tight, which made them difficult to install. I had to use a lot of force to get them in place, and I'm not sure if they will perform optimally under such conditions. Another concern that I have is regarding the longevity of the product. While the control arms look and feel durable, I'm not entirely convinced that they will last as long as the OEM parts. Only time will tell, but this is definitely something to keep in mind. Overall, the OCPTY Control Arms are a decent buy for the money, especially if you're looking for a more affordable alternative to the OEM parts. Just be aware that there are some issues that you may encounter during installation, and that the long-term durability of the product may be questionable.
