Review on 🔧 Permatex 22071 Water Pump and Thermostat RTV Silicone Gasket - 0.5 oz: Durable Sealant Solution by Tiger Carpani

I used this material in place of the traditional thermostat housing gasket on my 1987 Plymouth Gran. Fury at 318. The material was easy to work with straight from the tube and applied easily in small beads. I assembled the case with the manifold, hand tightened the bolts, came back an hour later and tightened to spec. After 24 hours I flushed and topped up the coolant, drove the car straight for a couple of hours on a hot day and everything was fine - not a drop of leakage. I had my doubts about the "new school" on the old school machine, but it worked very well.
