Great tool in the arsenal 😉

Fast delivery, great to have on hand in the garage. If, like me, you do your own work, this can save you time when ordering parts online. There are a few things you can use this for if you don't have the right pad handy. The photos should help you to estimate the size. You should be able to complete an engine rebuild with just one pipe. and little is left. Thank you for a smooth transaction.

Pros
  • Sensor safe, non-corrosive RTV silicone gasket specially formulated for water pumps and thermostat housings
Cons
  • Negative included

Make your own permanent hot water seal

Used for my (new) leaking fan inductor housing on my gas oven. Generously inflated. I made sure there were no gaps in the coating and pressed the two sides of the case together. Had about 30 minutes to heal and now it has a perfect and permanent seal. Paid for a very reasonable price, much cheaper and time-saver than sending back a broken blower, ordering and installing a new one, waiting for a refund, etc.

Pros
  • Highest water and glycol resistance in RTV silicone
Cons
  • Operating speed

Very glad I used it and recommend

I used exactly one hose of this hose when installing a new water pump along with the rubber o-ring that came with it. It was the perfect amount and I will probably use it every time I install a water pump. After reading many opinions online I wasn't 100% sure about using this in combination with a rubber seal but decided to give it a try. After removing the factory water pump with the rubber seal I found obvious residue of the RTV silicone so I'm glad I bought and used Permatex 22071.

Pros
  • Excellent adhesion and flexibility; can be used as a pad or bandage
Cons
  • No instructions

Works perfectly! Fillers, Adhesives & Sealant Information

I used this material in place of the traditional thermostat housing gasket on my 1987 Plymouth Gran. Fury at 318. The material was easy to work with straight from the tube and applied easily in small beads. I assembled the case with the manifold, hand tightened the bolts, came back an hour later and tightened to spec. After 24 hours I flushed and topped up the coolant, drove the car straight for a couple of hours on a hot day and everything was fine - not a drop of leakage. I had my doubts…

Pros
  • Temperature range: -65°F to 500°F (-54°C to 260°C) short term
Cons
  • Expensive
