Economical but complete

What a wonderful gift! It connects to my Netflix account quickly and easily, and the first time I was up and running in just a minute (everything is much faster after that). You'll need to add movies from your computer to your Netflix instant queue before you can watch them on your TV, but when you add them they'll show up as options on your screen. (With a nominal delay of course) Movies/shows are shown in various qualities, usually older or TV quality, then there's near DVD quality and some movies can be viewed in HD (which looks like 720p, but I'm not sure ). All in all, this is a great addition to your system! Netflix will not charge you any additional bills for using this device as long as you have instant streaming enabled on your account. Playback on Netflix is very nice, movies finish buffering in about 10 seconds (on my cable connection) and play without pausing/skipping. Again, it depends on your internet! So if you have a slower DSL connection, you should evaluate how well your computer can play Netflix before purchasing a Netflix-enabled device to be the cornerstone of your entertainment system. You can use the arrow keys on the remote to move between 'scenes', although it should be rebuffered each time you do so. as soon as I turn it on. The update is *huge* and took about an hour to download and install. It doesn't require any user input, so I just left it alone when I finished the evening. (KDL-32S5100) LCD TVs that had some form of HDMI connection and both worked). When you turn on the BD-P1600 and your AnyNet+ enabled TV is off, it will turn on and automatically switch to the desired input source! I haven't tested this feature with an HDMI cable running through the receiver, so don't count on it if you plan to set up your system this way. So! It recognizes Blu-ray discs much faster than the device it replaces (Insignia NS-BRDVD) and appears to fly through loading screens. will stay below. It has multiple surface buttons for eject, play/pause, power, skip and stop, and a USB port. When placing the player, remember: it must be lower than the TV so it doesn't block your signal from the remote control. Samsung USB product.
