The alternator was producing electricity but not enough voltage to reset my error display. It produced only 13.2 volts or less when all electrical equipment was on during the Alabama daylight saving time. These devices included an internal high speed fan, a high speed radiator fan, a refrigerator, a light, etc. I chose the exact product, but in the end my voltage didn't support 14.0 volts. An alternator requires a very specific voltage regulator. When choosing a generator, be sure to ask for the exact part and ask the regulator. Don't waste money replacing a new part that doesn't meet your needs. This can be a costly and/or time consuming mistake when doing the task yourself.
