Perfect. Went with the lowest end Bosch GLM20 but very satisfied.
Home made. finally bought one of these after many years of being fascinated by the idea. Suddenly I measure everything in my house and see how easy it is. A great addition to my tool box for the price. Note that it works with reflected laser light, so it is more suitable when both ends of the measured distance are facing each other (e.g. opposite walls or inside a window frame). It's still easy to measure flat objects, for example by holding the object to the end of a coffee table to have the laser hit it.
