I've only had it a few weeks but so far it seems to work exactly as advertised. It has a nice clean look and it's nice to have all those extra ports on a MacBook. I was able to connect multiple devices to the device at the same time and they all worked without any issues. A few "notes" to keep in mind. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to connect to a MacBook. Basically there are no design flaws here, but you are trying to fit 2 USB-C ports into 2 ports on the side of your MacBook, which might take some fiddling and trial and error to get it right. It's not really a problem, just a little annoying. It only has one USB-C slot (but needs 2). You get USB3 slots and memory card readers, but if you use multiple USB-C devices, you might face the problem of losing 4 USB-C slots on your MacBook. For example, I use multiple monitors with USB-C ports, when plugged in I use all three USB-Cs (including the power adapter). My monitor did not work when connected to the USB-C port on this adapter. Again, this isn't a major issue and is most likely to be with the monitor hardware or MacBook software, not the adapter. Other USB devices have worked without issue, but note that some devices may not work with this adapter.
