when I got them the screws on the VGA side were missing and my monitor couldn't accommodate an extra computer monitor after plugging it in, I've tried my TV that has both VGA as well as HDMI and still wouldn't catch it. I ended up having to buy a dongle that converts HDMI to VGA and it worked great. Whilst this item may have been defective I would not recommend it as I need it for work from home and had to wait a few days for delivery as it was not considered 'essential'.
