Review on 🌈 HAGOROMO Fulltouch Color Chalk in 72 Pieces - 3 Color Mix for Vibrant Creativity by Chad Blanchet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is really great chalk.

Well it's chalk. In a world of things where you have to be picky, this is usually a low priority. But for those who need to use chalk on the blackboard on a regular basis, this is the crème de la crème. It's chalk in every way, but silky in writing. Almost like a kind of soft wax hybrid with chalk. But it is also strong and not as fragile as other colored pencils. Almost no pressure is required to write clean lines. Sometimes I think I can imagine writing on a mirror with lipstick. Just smooth and smooth, but not as soft and wasteful as it could be. This is ordinary chalk, only better. You have made the best mousetrap here. I didn't get to try the original Japanese legendary chalk, but this current (South Korean I guess?) version is definitely a great chalk. I've ordered another brand of Japanese chalk that's supposed to be a clone attempt and I'm curious to see how it does. It's more expensive, but it's a Chalk Rolls-Royce. You truly get the best chalk experience, no matter the cost. I am happy to know that this product is suitable for my chalk needs. I wish I would have used the chalkboard more than once a week. Update: That's good chalk. Definitely creates the smoothest, creamiest lines. But Umajirushi DC Chalk DX is easier to write. For example, there is less friction when writing. Hagoromo is buttery-smooth and creamy, but a little harder to write on (due to friction). But this Hagoromo is more expensive but it had better shipping packaging and none of it was broken on arrival. Umajirushi had more than 8 broken sticks. After all, it's just chalk. Hagoromo is undoubtedly a good chalk, but it's not the only chalk in town. Umajirushi can give him a move.

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
