Limited indexing of snippets, I don't recommend

I've used this a few times. I had no problems the first few times. Once fixed, the rod rotates freely. This is undesirable as the latch is large and can get in the way. This makes it difficult to attach light gear/items to the pole. I could see that it got stuck in a position where you can't release the latch. The fifth time I used it I tried mounting it very low in the back of my truck. Tension indexing was either too tight or too loose. It didn't save me any time, and it also frustrated me. For this reason I would prefer the old screw/time extension.
