Great design but won't work on 2019-2021 Chevy

I just found out the hard way. Newer Chevy have a wider inner bed, 2 or 3 inches. I tried to install but ended up being 2 inches too small and hitting both sides of the bed. My heart sank. I have one of these without a ratchet, probably 20 years old, and it still works (trademark proof), but wanted a nicer, new, not rusty one. I haven't tested if the old one works with my truck yet. :/ Other than that, the quality is good, the design is good, so I give 5 stars.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • It's fine

Lightweight carrying bar

Very light, not for carrying heavy loads. I read the reviews and didn't buy it until the price dropped below $25. This CAN meet my storage needs for items not often used in front of my RAM bed under the tonneau cover. The ratchet system is unpredictable, rigid and uncomfortable to use; It needs 2-hand control and even then it takes a few swear words to get it in place. Mine will rarely move once it's attached. I don't know how long it will last, but for the price it's ok. Look elsewhere if you…

Limited indexing of snippets, I don't recommend

I've used this a few times. I had no problems the first few times. Once fixed, the rod rotates freely. This is undesirable as the latch is large and can get in the way. This makes it difficult to attach light gear/items to the pole. I could see that it got stuck in a position where you can't release the latch. The fifth time I used it I tried mounting it very low in the back of my truck. Tension indexing was either too tight or too loose. It didn't save me any time, and it also frustrated me…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Exactly what I was looking for! Until it broke

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Longhorn with the liner installed. This pole is perfect. Once you know exactly how to open, tighten, adjust and loosen it, great! It folds up stably and can be easily placed anywhere on the pickup truck. The only thing I don't know yet is durability. Update A few months after I received this charging pole, it broke. This works well for light items, but that's about it. I was transporting paint in the back of my truck, and several five-gallon buckets went into the bar…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Low repairability

Recommend! Good fit, good price, good product!

These shelves are perfect for keeping items from sliding around. I have the top one about a foot closer to the back door than the bottom one to keep my water jugs in place when I walk into this store. The other offers more storage so I don't have to strain to reach groceries and other items. I also like the smaller feet on them as my Harbor Freight is about 6 inches tall and difficult to fit in or around. The wheel arches are solid. My truck is compact so this is actually a problem. They…

Couldn't take it, wouldn't stay!

I really wanted to like this bar but it gave me problems from day one. The teeth in the ratchet are too far apart so I installed it and felt like it needed another click to get it nice and tight but I couldn't get it to move to the next tooth! So that's how I would drive it and sure enough it would be 2 times out of 3 in the back of my truck. In the end the bar gave up the fight and buckled in the middle as I fell hard and the load shifted (and passed out right after coming back!). I can't…

Must have for pickups.

truck owner? Got it. I've had several of these over the last year and just added another to my arsenal? Why? A slat is good for everyday use, next to the tailgate to prevent groceries and cargo from floating around the truck bed. But mainly I bought it because I was driving my 4WD Toyota Tundra off-road and on multi-day expeditions I need something (a) to securely mount the wood and water tanks under the crossbox; (b) an ice box locked at the bedside; and (c) luggage bags are secured. I've…
