You get what you pay for and it works for me. I received a used mountain bike as a gift and wanted to equip it with cheap mudguards. Offer and price perfect. If you ride road or limestone bike trails, these fenders will get the job done. They removed the wet clothes from my back and front. They hold up well after a few rides and the rear is adjustable which I like. They look nice and the attachment was easy. I gave them a 4 because the rear fender is warped a bit. It still works so I won't be returning it, but it shouldn't look like it. That's what you get with plastic. I don't recommend using it for rough rides where you can drop the bike a lot. If you ride a bike that can do that kind of action, buy a fender that can do that too. Don't criticize the product. This is an inexpensive product for regular cycling.
