It was faulty.: Exhaust and emissions

After replacing the EGR valve and thoroughly cleaning the hoses, sensors and parts, the Check Engine light came on with EGR codes. We took the Camry to the shop and checked this new EGR valve with a vacuum, but found it to be defective and not opening and closing properly. We replaced the part and the car ran like new. If you purchase this part, be sure to do a vacuum test prior to installation to ensure it opens and closes properly.
