It was easy to install and came with simple instructions. At first I was a bit concerned. After flushing the system for 15 minutes, the water still came out cloudy and tasted like tap water. I called support (hardly any wait time, big plus) and they assured me everything was working as intended, it was just air in the filter. I belched while drinking water, so I figured they were right. The problem resolved itself when I refilled my 5 gallon jug. The second portion was much cleaner, tastier and less noisy. At this point I checked the amount of solids in my water. Remember this is an alkaline version. So instead of reducing my tap water from 50ppm to 10ppm, it went down to 22ppm thanks to the added calcium carbonate. I couldn't find any information on how much the filter should add, so I called customer service again and they answered 15-20ppm with no problem. So the math was tested or close enough to satisfy me. The third batch was a little more burpee and tasted a bit like baking soda. The fourth batch tasted good but the solids were very low, 8ppm, indicating no calcium carbonate present. , or just a little. The fifth batch was perfect. Subsequent batches have tasted great, most have the correct PPM but some are still too low. I'll keep an eye on it and see if the problem ever fixes itself.
