Easily connects to iCarSoft website via USB to PC via the free iCarSoft app and allows you to select the car models to update. Takes only a few minutes for all models with large data files directly to the device - no storage problems. Once connected to the OBD port, select a button for diagnostics, select your make/model and press the auto scan button - the device will go through every system it can access. MB had nearly 40 subsystems that it scanned and gathered information. We immediately identified the problem in the subsystem and pinpointed the failure of the steering lock mechanism. Interlock replaced and the device was able to reset the error. Only this repair saved the cost of the device. The initial scan also found a few other faults that weren't obvious (e.g. a faulty passenger-side air conditioning foot vent - it ended up being just a disconnected connector under the dash, but he'd never have known otherwise). Another example is an oil change and the next day the engine caught fire. The scanner immediately detected the error of too rich airflow in all sensor banks. Led me straight to air intakes that were installed incorrectly. Reinstalled the air intakes and reset the error on the first drive. An odd circumstance, but I'd search without specifically finding a scanner. Use this device on 4 different cars from 2008 MB to 2019 Ram 1500. All models are natively supported and so many subsystems are visible.
