Good watch, but not without small flaws that will most likely not take away the joy of the watch. The only thing that bothers me is that the watch lacks a second hand (e.g. if you pull the crown all the way out, the second hand still moves, making it difficult to set the exact time). Overall, the movement seems good for this price. The case shows that it uses the ST 91650 movement. I couldn't find much information on this particular movement, but similar movements used by Stuhrling appear to be made in China. Your mileage may vary depending on the movements made in China, but quality seems to have improved in recent years. The Stuhrling website claims the movement has 19 jewels and a power reserve of 30 hours, although I have some doubts about the claimed 30 hour performance (the imprint on the watch back says 17 jewels, which could affect the power hours). energy reserve). It beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour (or about five cycles per second), giving reasonable second-hand movement. The movement features a partially skeletonized dial and case back. Which brings me to another small issue with the watch: I think it would look more classic if the dial wasn't skeletonized. The skeletonized dial is interesting, but it does mean that the Stuhrling logo is imprinted on the glass. The logo looks like a sticker (I often try to remove the logo from the glass) and doesn't seem to match the overall design of the dial. The hour markers are Roman numerals and match the price of the watch ($85 at Stuhrling). The hands are made in the Breguet style and match the dial perfectly. The hour and minute markers are very legible and the print appears clean and clear. Krysterna crystals on the front and back which appear to be unique to Stuhrling watches. Stuhrling claims that these types of glass are more scratch-resistant than sapphire. Again, I have some doubts about this statement. I will say that there is no sign of scratches on the glass of my watch, despite the less than gentle handling. The case is made of polished 316L stainless steel, which is used in most watches. The processing is acceptable, no sharp edges. On the back of the case is a desk stand that allows the watch to function like a desk clock when not being worn. The crown is an onion shaped push/pull element and does what it is supposed to do. The watch comes with a 12" stainless steel chain. The chain is long enough that I can go about my daily activities without worrying about the watch being pulled out of my pocket. The clip at the end of the chain detaches easily attached to the loops of my suit.All in all at €85 the watch is well priced and a good buy for those who like to spice up their wardrobe from time to time.
