I live in an apartment building and in the worst place to receive a signal. I checked online and the transmission is about 35 miles away. Considering this device has a range of 50 miles I figured it might work so I took a chance. It only caught 2 channels at first, but I knew I could find a better spot. I raised it about 2ft and a little further away from the TV and wow I have 24 channels! I moved it again and it went up at 18. So I put it back in and got 24 channels back. I am very happy with the performance. The quality isn't great, but it's not bad either. The light and mount have a magnet for more versatility when attaching the device. The doorbell isn't a feature I want, so I don't use it, but I think it's a nice touch. The pairing volume and beep are located on the back of the device.
