Review on Klein Tools 11061 Wire Stripper/Cutter: Heavy Duty, Self-Adjusting for Solid & Stranded AWG Wires by Julio Black

Little who? come on guys

What a shit. I bought this for home projects to use when taking off my Romex to make life easier. I did a few trial runs to get used to the mechanism and tensioner. I decided to give it a try. It worked great for the first two cuts and strips when hooking up an easy to access light switch and light fixture in the attic. Made three cuts with a cutter and 3 strips on solid 14-2 wire, which was the same wire I tested. Two days later I went to install an additional bracket in a second (much tighter and less accessible spot in the attic) and it didn't come loose. The wire cutters also only pinched the wire and didn't even pierce the insulation. Try to imagine that you've climbed as far into the attic as you can, drenched in sweat, covered in a layer of spiked insulation, and your tool decides to leave. I had a pair of wire cutters in my back pocket, otherwise I would have thrown the damn tool at the ceiling and my wife would have climbed the ladder with another tool. I was very happy to turn off 10 recessed lights with this thing but now it's not happening. Thanks for making me laugh, little one. I easily have 10-12 small hand tools that I have owned for almost 15 years. these things didn't last 15 days. I'll call Klein and see how their support team feels about my situation and come back with a follow-up comment. stayed in touch.
