Review on 🚲 Thule Thru Axle Adapter: Efficient Cycling Solution in One Color and Size by Eddie Duncan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent, but could be better.

I have two old 9mm quick release mounts on the back of my pickup. Times have changed and now most of them run 15mm thru axles. I first bought a similar Yakama product a few years ago. I decided to be a good friend and get another adapter so I can properly attach my buddies' bikes. two years, no problem). Pros: - The metal on this one is sturdy. Much thicker metal and heavier welds than the Yak.- Nice looking product. Cons: The end caps that the fork legs sit on are plastic/ABS. The Yak is made entirely of metal, including end caps. As for durability, I'm not sure. Time will tell how Thule plastic end caps perform. This is rather disappointing given the overall sturdy construction of the rest and the price.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Nothing
