It didn't fit my left Cannondale fork.

I have a 2006 Cannondale F1000 with a left hand fork. It didn't fit my left Cannondale fork. It doesn't go all the way and the screw doesn't reach the nut inside. This is very frustrating. return the next day.

Pros

Cons

Does what it should.

Works great left handed on my Cannondale F29. The wheel is removed with a 5mm hex, the adapter is mounted on a 5mm hex, the bike climbs onto the roof. Works seamlessly with Thule Prologue and Circuit roof racks. Make sure you fully tighten the adapter.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Looks good but very heavy!

I bought this as an adapter for a quick release bike bag. The new bike has a thru-axle, so I needed it to travel. I had no idea it was going to be that hard, I think I should have read the fine print more carefully. Weight is an issue for me as a hard case weighs more than a soft case and weight can be an issue when traveling. While I like that it fits, I'm not too happy with the extra weight. Is it possible to make a pass-through adapter from a lighter material?

Works well: Cycling

This Thule adapter allowed me to mount two of my bikes with 15mm thru-axle forks on a Yakima bike rack. After purchasing this, I nervously mounted my new mountain bike to a Yakima rack with this adapter and set off on a 700 mile journey. My bikes have been very stable the whole time. The adapter also has the added benefit of protecting your fork from the bike rack locking clip. When mounting the adapter on the stand I clamped it a bit too tight, the adapter had scratches and dents and I was…

Useful tool for anyone who has multiple bikes

If you have a roof rack with fork and multiple bikes without a thru axle, this adapter is for you. This adapter is very useful as I can keep a stock Thule rack for my other bikes but use this adapter when transporting a mountain bike. It's a "boost" spacing (meaning it's 110mm wide) and it works pretty well. However, he tends to slip so that the crossbar rests on top of the post. It wasn't a problem for many freeway miles, but it's something to be aware of. 4 starts with a high price and a…

Quality at a lower price

This is a cheaper fake Hurricane brand. From what I understand Yakima and Thule license them from Hurricane. I chose the cheapest. It fits well on the Fox 15mm axle, no play and no play. I put the adapter on the fork before lifting it onto the roof as it would be difficult to hold it up and line it up 6ft in the air. Once connected and tightened, it stays in place. The only drawback is the lack of a lock, this is the problem with all adapters. On a recent trip to North Carolina, I took a hose…

Decent, but could be better.

I have two old 9mm quick release mounts on the back of my pickup. Times have changed and now most of them run 15mm thru axles. I first bought a similar Yakama product a few years ago. I decided to be a good friend and get another adapter so I can properly attach my buddies' bikes. two years, no problem). Pros: - The metal on this one is sturdy. Much thicker metal and heavier welds than the Yak.- Nice looking product. Cons: The end caps that the fork legs sit on are plastic/ABS. The Yak is made…
