Review on 🚲 Thule Thru Axle Adapter: Efficient Cycling Solution in One Color and Size by Nick Cleary

This is a cheaper fake Hurricane brand. From what I understand Yakima and Thule license them from Hurricane. I chose the cheapest. It fits well on the Fox 15mm axle, no play and no play. I put the adapter on the fork before lifting it onto the roof as it would be difficult to hold it up and line it up 6ft in the air. Once connected and tightened, it stays in place. The only drawback is the lack of a lock, this is the problem with all adapters. On a recent trip to North Carolina, I took a hose clamp and attached the quick release to the fork so no one would be able to quickly release it. A cordless drill with a 1/4-inch bit works well. It doesn't protect against theft, but it takes longer for someone to remove it, which is a pretty good deterrent in most cases.
