Review on ACDelco GM OE 15-73666 Temperature Mode Valve Actuator Assembly by Scott Rao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installed on a 2011 GMC Acadia temperature control door.

Worked well on a 2011 GMC Acadia (I have standard climate control, not automatic). I substituted the "lower" mixing the temp. Previous reviews have been VERY helpful as this is located to the left of the glove box behind the dash and the 3 screws are a bit awkward to get to. Remove the glove box, dash lower cover and side panel on the side of the console to access this part. My little wrench tripped and grounded the positive wire of the HVAC fan under the dash and blew the fuse. I think the fan wire is still charged even with the ignition off. Before replacing this part, be sure to disconnect the battery or at least remove the underhood fuse for the A/C heater fan. Looks like I saved $50 on parts at the dealer plus $150 on labor. And one more thing: change the cabin filter with the glove box off.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Out of fashion
