This switch was a square type D and fitted my switch box perfectly. Easy to install but I had to extend the neutral wire from the load wiring to get to the switch. This was a replacement switch for a circuit that did not have GFCI outlets. And I couldn't get to a specific outlet to replace it with a GFCI outlet. It was behind my hot tub. So a GFCI/AFCI circuit breaker was the only way to protect this outlet and the whole room. Any container near a water source or in a basement needs at least GFCI protection.
