Review on 🚚 Reese Towpower 8508211 Proportional BRAKE-EVN Brake Control: Superior Trailer Braking Efficiency by Justin Buck

Bought because I rented a caravan and the owner needed it. I have a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has a trailer brake control connector installed from the factory. Most factory couplers are male, so I strongly recommend NOT using aftermarket couplers. If you pay for the trailer control connector, oil cooler, transmission cooler and 7-pin electronic connector, you'd better buy a factory towing package. Sorry to digress here! The Reese trailer control works very well. The instructions are clear and calibration was very easy. It offers firm, progressive and noticeable braking support. I installed it so low under the dash that no one would ever notice the 2 small holes. The Jeep came with a factory wiring harness that I could use, but that would require cutting one end off the Reese controller and then using butt joints. I found it MUCH easier to buy a Reese Jeep "pigtail" adapter for about $6. That really simplifies the task. When installing on a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you will find the connector for this thing next to the parking brake wire connector (above the pedal).
