The problem with the strap is that the carabiner doesn't open wide enough to attach to the bag. The strap is very simple, without padding, it can be replaced with any other strap. The case itself is big enough to fit in my Porst German Cold War binoculars and has a good body to withstand impact. Replace that crappy belt and you're good to go. It should have a short handle attached directly to the case so it can be used without a strap. It's good enough for the price. The basic shape and size offer a variety of applications. This is good value for money. Replace belt.
