Review on πŸ”§ Johnson Level Tool 1411 0900 Torpedo: Accurate and Reliable Precision Level for Every Job by Francisco Holmes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I was hoping for machined smooth surfaces then anodized but it looks like extruded aluminum to me

I had this level taken out of the box 5 minutes before discovering the defect. I placed this level on a piece of steel to see how the magnets would work and the magnet popped out of the level. The magnet was held in place with some sort of purple glue, which obviously wasn't enough. I'm sending this back. The overall impression of the level did not convince me. I was hoping for machined, smooth surfaces that were then anodized, but it looks like extruded aluminum to me. I don't think Johnson understands what the word "empty" means. For me, that means taking a piece of raw aluminum and processing it properly. I think this plane is an extruded piece of aluminum that is then vialized. I also think a radius on a leg with no pawl would be better than a square piece. The bottles look nice and are easy to see. Maybe a window for 45 upstairs would be nice. There is a window at 30 so you can see it from above. Sending back as a magnet should never show up, let alone the first 5 minutes.
