I've seen some bad reviews about it but don't know why? It's accurate, durable, and most importantly, it looks cool! Lol**Pro Tip** Apply a thin layer of superglue around the magnets and prevent chips from getting in! And keep the shops safe!

Looks good. The magnets are strong, but they are only on the flat side, not the V-groove side. So if you are going to use it on a pipe bend and want to use magnets you need to look at it parallel to the pipe. And the 1/2" and 3/4" pipe will not fit over the sleeve that is under the stop screw as it will stay parallel to the pipe and level. You can force it to stay, but the flat surface isn't necessarily the same as the pipe.

This level was in my tool bag waiting to be used. Finally got a job where I could use it to lay a pipeline. But he couldn't because the liquid was leaking. I see no damage. I'm not sure how the liquid flows out of a sealed vial. So I never needed my twenty dollar level. Still using my trusty Swanson Torpedo with stains, dents and a faded logo. I had this level taken out of the box 5 minutes before discovering the defect. I placed this level on a piece of steel to see how the magnets would work and the magnet popped out of the level. The magnet was held in place with some sort of purple glue, which obviously wasn't enough. I'm sending this back. The overall impression of the level did not convince me. I was hoping for machined, smooth surfaces that were then anodized, but it looks like extruded aluminum to me. I don't think Johnson…
