These containers are strong and they seal things inside very well. I believe that if you drop them, they will handle the fall, but beware the very hard-shell bodies of storage containers because a far enough drop might crack them. I'm using one to keep powder pancake mix, and my husband used another to store soup in. These are very reliable and the different sizes are great for different storage needs. Their squarish shape helps with easy storage, unlike round shapes that can be hard to fit into your fridge or shelf. The four sides of the lid that snap onto the container make a really good seal and tight closure.My only issue is that the set came with a white marker and black labels, but the marker cap must've come loose during shipping/handling so the marker was dry and couldn't write anymore.
