This footrest has an adjustable slider on the back of the footrest. You can loosen the hex screw that holds the slider firmly against the back that fixes the length of the supporting leg. The problem is that during a long ride, as happened to me, the bolt and slider can come loose and the slider completely slips off the top half of the footpeg where the entire bottom half disappears and is lost. I lost my bottom half this way and didn't hear it as I drove down a street with traffic noise from people, cars and everything outside. I recently bought another, much better stand that doesn't use a sliding bar that can come loose.
