I have an old Vizio that is probably around 7-10 years old and was in need of a replacement remote. I didn't think it would work, but people have claimed it will work on older TVs. Well it is! What amazed me was that I took it out of the box, pointed it at the TV, pressed the power button and boom, it worked! Remember the old days when you had to program your TV remotes!? There used to be such a procedure. Very happy with it.
