it was preventing the scanner from fitting flush or not being able to mount at all. I was able to save myself this purchase by using the detachable belt clip that came with the ScannerMaster nylon sheath. As you can see in the second picture, all you have to do is turn the existing bracket upside down and the clip will fit perfectly into the larger hole. 3 STARS because the product doesn't work out of the box but can be used.
