It's hard gardening in the hot, stuffy Florida weather when your eyes sweat for the first 10 minutes outside. A headband and a big hat are a must for me if I'm going to be spending some time in the garden. I'm glad I bought them. First, I like the variety of colors. These are really bright, rich colors. I knew they would be thinner than my old ones, but that's a plus for my use. It's difficult to put a hat on a really thick sports band. My hat has fallen off so many times when leaning forward due to fit issues. Now my hat stays firmly on my head no matter what I do. It also takes a long time to tumble dry the thick ones. They dry quickly and I don't even put them in the dryer so they last longer.
