I myself am an amateur, so I do not own a diploma of a photographer. I took this lens for use at student events (I have a D3100 carcass), when I don’t get close, but I want to take a photo. I have been using it for almost a year and am very pleased. Firstly, thanks to its fast focusing, I took interesting shots of hovering in the air when jumping in a dance and similar moments when everything is needed quickly. In daylight, color reproduction is natural, portrait photography is a pleasure. Yes, there is some feeling of fragility of the lens, but this does not bother me. As for the fact that sometimes dark photos are obtained, I’m not upset, firstly, the carcass settings help out a lot, and you can also use Photoshop if necessary. From the strange and incomprehensible for me, at the extreme positions of 55 or 200, the quality of the images is lower. And so it is now my favorite lens. For shooting groups of people, I use another one when necessary. After a year of use, it remains my favorite lens. There were no technical problems. There are misses of focus, but rarely.
