Love the idea with the seams at the bottom of the pot which are very easy to clean when cleaned with this design. The handle looks like wood, in fact it looks like wood too. It takes a little effort to open or close the pot which I don't care but if you have arthritis or weak hands or ask someone in your house to make hot water it's dangerous after all or whatever this product is not may be suitable for you as it requires some effort to open and close. I needed a pot with a whistle because I forgot to put it on the stove, overdid my morning routine, was distracted, maybe forgot to set the timer, the whistle is hard to miss, it's loud. It heats up quickly if 1/2 pot or less, doesn't take much for 3 cups in a coffee press, it warns me I don't have to uncap the spout and risk burning myself, I'm happy with this item and it looks good on the stove too.
