Review on Wald 5.25-Inch Rise MTB Handle Bar: Enhance Your Off-Road Riding with Chrome 27.1 #803 by Timothy Barnes

The product is good, the packaging is not very good.

Beautiful handlebar. Like many reviewers, I no longer feel comfortable riding with the handlebars straight. And I'm 6ft 3in so I have a very high seat which makes it even more awkward to get in because of the low handlebars. I had 2.5" rise bars on a Trek 2700, but this is much more comfortable. In case you must know, the rear reach of the bars is about 3 inches. I measured this by placing the bars on a table and measured the height of the bar ends, so on a bike if you have the "U" portion of the bars vertical, the tips will be about 3" closer to the rider than they are in the middle. Note that you may need to replace the brake and shifter cables if you already have handlebars that are a different height. I was able to relocate two cables, had to replace one. Taking a point off (should have been half a point, but isn't an option ) due to not very good packaging. It was sent in a priority box which was really only creased and creased around the steering wheel so when it arrived the box was almost completely torn in two places and when I picked it up the packing list simple fell on the floor. So better packaging is required for shipping, but the steering wheel has not been damaged (after all it is a piece of chrome steel).
