These handlebars make the ride more comfortable.

My Schwinn Pathway (standard big box hybrid) had straight handlebars and an uncomfortable forward-leaning seat. Too much pressure on my sore tennis wrist and elbow. Also, the weight on my shoulders and the tension in my neck holding my head up to see ahead just didn't suit my needs. These bars serve to enable me to sit more upright. Nice set of steel handlebars at a good price

These handlebars could be the ticket to saving your back. They have nice high buoyancy and aren't overly heavy like many steel bars. The price is right compared to expensive aluminum bars and they are also nice and stiff unlike many aluminum bars which feel pliable to me. The only issue I have is that they are a bit wide for my liking. in the city and commuting to work a lot, where you have to pass and drive between cars that are stuck in traffic, then this is not a problem. The product is good, the packaging is not very good.

Beautiful handlebar. Like many reviewers, I no longer feel comfortable riding with the handlebars straight. And I'm 6ft 3in so I have a very high seat which makes it even more awkward to get in because of the low handlebars. I had 2.5" rise bars on a Trek 2700, but this is much more comfortable. In case you must know, the rear reach of the bars is about 3 inches.
