I used this on a 2000 Chevy Tahoe deep sump transmission (the one with the drain plug). It worked well and there were enough small holes in the gasket to secure the bolts when attempting to reinstall the pan. It was a lot easier than the previous seals I used when changing the transmission filter. A word to the wise. Read the insert for the new filter. Make sure you clean the old gasket very well and don't use sealant on the new one. Between that and observing the torque settings on your bolts (a little more than hand tightening - a pound torque wrench is best) and you should be fine. One suggestion is to remove all old gasket material. Running a propane torch over the surface of the old gasket for a few seconds will destroy the bond so severely that it can be easily removed with a gasket scraper. Even a pad remover won't touch it. Don't use anything sharp. This can damage the mounting surface.
