The product has performed terribly. Easyheat thermostat plug is awkward

The Easyheat thermostat plug I received should turn on at thirty eight degrees and turn off at fifty degrees. It didn't turn on until exposed to freezing temperatures for several hours. When it lights up, it stays on for about 15 seconds and then turns off again. After a minute it lights up again and the cycle repeats. Before any uninformed amateur technician thinks he can diagnose my problem, let me explain the circumstances. The thermostat was nowhere near the heating cable it controlled. To ensure maximum exposure to outside temperatures, I hung it outdoors on a tripod. I have a thermometer next to the thermostat. In extreme cases, I observed a temperature of 26 degrees, the display on the EasyHeat thermostat plug did not light up, the heating cable was cold. I observed and tested this product over three frosty mornings. The product has performed terribly. Easy Heat's thermostat plug is embarrassing. I would not recommend this product to anyone. except maybe Ryan, he's an asshole.

Pros
  • Thermostat automatically turns on heating cable below 3 degrees C
Cons
  • Expensive
