ITEM NOT RECEIVED FROM ME!

I am very disappointed with this product. I thought it might be a good idea to turn the small heater on and off in my caravan in winter just to keep the temperature above freezing. I also have the trailer dehumidifier running all the time, which works great (as long as it doesn't freeze). I have a small 250w ceramic heater plugged in, so it's definitely not an extreme load. Just a little warmth if needed. I thought this Easy Heat EH-38 would be very handy, supposedly it turns on at 38 degrees…

Pros
  • (pack of 2) Easy installation
Cons
  • Damaged

The product has performed terribly. Easyheat thermostat plug is awkward

The Easyheat thermostat plug I received should turn on at thirty eight degrees and turn off at fifty degrees. It didn't turn on until exposed to freezing temperatures for several hours. When it lights up, it stays on for about 15 seconds and then turns off again. After a minute it lights up again and the cycle repeats. Before any uninformed amateur technician thinks he can diagnose my problem, let me explain the circumstances. The thermostat was nowhere near the heating cable it controlled. To…

Pros
  • Thermostat automatically turns on heating cable below 3 degrees C
Cons
  • Expensive

A cheap solution to a potentially costly problem

Summers are short in the great white north, and every year it seemed like i finished right after the winter took the boat off and put it away, we got sunshine the last week. When you only have a few months of boating season, a week or so makes a big difference. A few years ago, just after a nice sunny week, we pulled the boat out of the garage and got it ready, only to have frost/snow hit at the end of May and we had to invent all sorts of MacGyver stuff to keep the unit going set it on low…

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of pipe freezing while saving energy and eliminating the need to disconnect wires every spring
Cons
  • Not sure
