Recently purchased for a trip to Portugal, Spain and Morocco. Although there are some regional differences in grounding plugs, they will work fine with either type of outlet in these countries. I was able to connect my auto-conversion chargers (chargers that operate on both 120/240 volts) with no issues and keep my devices fully charged and ready to go. They are NOT converting any voltage so your 120 volt cells will over voltage and burn out. My wife had a hair dryer which she plugged into the adapter without changing the operating voltage and quickly saw her mistake so her hair dryer didn't burn out but got very hot very quickly!
